You can view all previously saved versions of a document from the Version history tab. Version history helps you see what changed over time, who made the change, and when the change was made. This is useful for auditing, reviewing older content, or deciding which version to restore.
Viewing a version does not affect your current document. Older versions always open in read-only mode to protect historical data.
View versions in Version history
Open the document from the Documents Hub.
At the top of the screen, click Version history.
A table appears showing all saved versions, including:
Version number (Major.Minor)
Created date
Author
Description
To view a specific version, click View on the right.
Click Unlock and leave.
The version opens in read-only mode, allowing you to inspect content without making changes.
What you can see in a version
When you open a past version, you can:
Review the complete document structure and content as it existed at that time
Expand all nested child content blocks
Confirm whether it is the correct version to restore
What you cannot do in View mode
You cannot:
Edit content
Modify content attributes
Run AI prompts
Add or delete content blocks
Export directly from View mode
To make changes, you must restore the version, which creates a new editable version based on that older state.
