New features

Software-as-a-Service

• After almost 3 years of development, Pergamon successfully transitioned from an internal content management system to a software-as-a-service model that streamlines and simplifies user manual creation for everyone. 
• This model shift is now reflected in the user interface. For example, there are Pergami tokens used to access AI-related services, such as AI translations or interaction with the LLM Writing Assistant.
• In addition, there is a new Business settings page for workspace owners for managing workspace-level settings. Here, owners can now add new users directly through User management.

Home page

• Completely redesigned home page with unified search across blueprints and products.

• You can now search by ID, product name, and keywords such as front page, back page to find the relevant blueprints faster.

Document assembly and blueprints

• Simplified Document Assembly experience for creating new documents.

• New keywords property per Blueprint in Pergamon legacy UI. 

Technical support chatbot

• You can now ask technical support related questions directly to AI-powered chatbot. The chatbot will look inside Pergamon Knowledge base, looks for most relevant source and provides a precise answer together with the link to a article. 

• To activate the chatbot, click on the technical support icon located on the top righ side of the screen.

Enhancements

Editor

• Fixed an issue where the Spellchecker overlapped other UI and style elements.

• Added the ability to batch apply or clear character styles for all text within a content block.

• Paragraph-level character style restriction

  • When you select multiple paragraphs inside a content block and try to apply or clear a character style, Pergamon now prevents the action and shows an error indicating that formatting must be done one paragraph at a time:
    

• Several additional editor stability and styling fixes.

Documents Hub

• Document name requirements are now enforced when duplicating a document.

• The Localize option in the more actions (three dots) menu is now disabled when there are no target documents for the selected source document.

• The Translate option in the more actions menu is now disabled when Multi language is selected for documents

Publications Hub

• Improved visuals in the preview modal for clearer publication review.

Document assembly and blueprints

• Removed unique-name requirements for blueprints

• Option to upgrade to full subscription from the Export modal.
  

Translations and AI Writing Assistant

• Fixed translation issues in the Editor.

• Improved handling of cases showing the cannot be translated with AI error message.

• Updated the UI text label from “Translation” to “Source language” in Translation > Project ID > Job ID to better reflect the field’s purpose.

• In Translation hub, clicking + Add Translation now opens a new window for selecting the source.

Bug fixes and platform improvements

Legacy UI and backend

• Improved duplication behavior for locked documents.

• Added content asset rights validation

• Fixed a search issue when working with imported Track Changes content.

• Corrected character style highlight placement.

• Removed the previous limit on discretionary line breaks.

• Strengthened protection against SQL injection attacks to improve overall security.

Update instructions

1. After the release is deployed, a blue Refresh button will appear at the bottom of the login page (or the current page). To fetch the new update, click Refresh.

   

2. Still not seeing changes? Force-refresh:
   • Mac: shift + cmd + R
   • Windows: Shift + CTRL + R
3. To verify you got the latest version:
   1. Click on the user avatar at the top right and verify the new version is displayed:
