Callout Presets are saved annotation style configurations made available to your workspace by your Pergamon administrator. Applying a preset instantly loads a predefined set of styles across all annotation types -- callout shape and colour, stroke weights, typography, line styles, and more -- so your team can annotate assets consistently without configuring each setting manually.
Presets are configured at the tenant level. As an end user, you select and apply the presets available to your workspace.
Where to find the Preset dropdown
The Preset dropdown sits at the top of the properties panel, above the tool tabs. It is always visible regardless of which annotation tool is active.

The presets available in the dropdown are configured for your Pergamon tenant by your administrator. If no presets are listed, contact your administrator to have them set up for your workspace.
Applying a preset
- Open the Asset Annotation Editor with your asset loaded.
- Click the Preset dropdown at the top of the properties panel.
- Select a preset from the list. The preset is applied immediately -- annotation style settings in the properties panel update to reflect the preset's configuration.

Note
Applying a preset updates the style defaults for all annotation types -- callouts, arrows, text frames, shapes, and scribbles. It does not modify annotations already placed on the canvas. Only new annotations placed after applying the preset will use the preset's styles.
Tip
Apply your preset before placing any annotations so all annotations on the canvas share consistent styling from the start. If you apply a preset after placing annotations, you will need to update existing annotations manually.
Clearing a preset
To remove the applied preset and return to manual styling:
- Click the Preset dropdown.
- Select None at the top of the list.
The preset selection is cleared. The editor retains whatever style values were in place - selecting None does not reset the toolbar to defaults. Existing annotations on the canvas are not affected.
Saving a preset as the document default
If you want a preset to load automatically every time the Asset Annotation Editor opens for a specific document, you can save it as the document default.
- Select the preset you want to set as default from the Preset dropdown.
- Click Save as default to the right of the dropdown.
The preset is now pinned as the default for this document. The next time the Asset Annotation Editor opens for this document, the preset will be applied automatically.
Note
The Save as default button is only active when a preset is selected in the dropdown. It is greyed out when None is selected.
Info
The document default preset applies to the document it was set on. Other documents in your workspace are not affected. Each document can have its own default preset.
