The PDF Preview in the Pergamon Editor shows how your document will look when exported. The preview appears in a split view so you can review the final layout, images, and formatting as you continue editing. This helps you validate the output before generating the final publication PDF.
Generate a PDF preview
In the Editor, select the PDF Preview icon (eye symbol) in the top-right corner.
Wait a few seconds for the preview to load. Larger documents with many images may take longer to generate.
The Editor switches to a split view:
The left side shows your editable content.
The right side displays the live PDF preview with full viewer controls.
Use the PDF viewer tools to zoom, navigate pages, or inspect layout details.
PDF Preview controls
The PDF Preview includes a full set of viewer controls to help you inspect your document layout before exporting. These controls appear at the top of the preview pane and allow you to navigate, zoom, download, and print the PDF.

Select the menu (≡) icon to show or hide the page thumbnails.Page selector
Use the page number input or arrows to move between pages.Two-page view
Open the More options (⋮) menu and select Two page view to view pages side-by-side.
Zoom controls
Zoom in / Zoom out
Use the + and – icons in the toolbar.Zoom percentage
Select the zoom percentage dropdown (e.g., 90%) to choose a preset zoom level.Fit to page / Fit to width
Options appear in the same zoom dropdown.
Annotation toggle
In the More options (⋮) menu, enable or disable Annotations (such as hyperlinks or tagged elements) in the preview.
Document properties
From the More options (⋮) menu, select Document properties to view information such as file size, title, author, and other properties.
Download and print
Download (⬇️ icon) — Saves a generated PDF of the document to your device.
Print (🖨️ icon) — Opens your system print dialog.
