New features

Add content from Topic ⭐

You can now add content to documents from preconfigured Topics.

This feature enables a structured content reuse strategy by allowing you to reuse approved content Topics instead of copying and pasting content between documents. Topics can be reused consistently across documents, reducing manual effort.

• This feature also customizes content to the variant that was selected in the blueprint used for assembling the document.

This is a major improvement for teams that manage large volumes of reusable content and variant-driven documentation.

Script labels for Documents and Publications

You can now assign script labels to documents and publications.

This feature helps layout engineers strengthen automated DTP workflows by enabling more precise control during downstream publishing and layout automation.

Delete Workspace assets

You can now delete uploaded workspace assets directly from the Assets Library, giving you more control over asset lifecycle management.

Chinese (zh-CN) localization for system emails

Automated system emails are now localized in Chinese (zh-CN).

This includes emails such as:

• account activation

• password reset

• other system notifications

Persistent UI language selection

Pergamon now retains the selected UI language after logout.

If you switch the interface language to Chinese (zh-CN) and log out, the logged-out and login pages continue to display the same language, including login, password, and related UI text.

Activate and deactivate workspace users

Workspace owners can now activate or deactivate user accounts directly from Workspace settings. This provides better control over user access without deleting user accounts.

Document and publication duplication naming rules

When duplicating a document or publication:

• The duplicated item is named “Copy of <original name>”.

• The name is limited to a maximum of 85 characters.

• If the generated name exceeds 85 characters, the end of the name is automatically truncated.
  

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue with asset renaming in the old UI.

• Content can be now imported with the asset syntax not including the asset name and version number.

Update instructions

1. After the release is deployed, a blue Refresh button will appear at the bottom of the login page (or the current page). To fetch the new update, click Refresh.

   

2. Still not seeing changes? Force-refresh:
   • Mac: shift + cmd + R
   • Windows: Shift + CTRL + R
3. To verify you got the latest version:
   1. Click on the user avatar at the top right and verify the new version 3.4.0 is displayed:
