Pergamon 3.5.0 introduces a new delete and restore workflow where documents are first moved to Trash before permanent deletion, along with improvements to bulk document actions and document preview.
Document management enhancements
Trash and delete workflow
- Introduced a new Trash status, replacing the previous Deleted state.
- Documents can now be:
- Moved to Trash
- Restored from Trash
- Permanently deleted from Trash
- Documents in Trash are automatically removed permanently after 14 days if not restored.
Bulk document actions
- Move multiple documents to Trash at once.
- Restore multiple documents from Trash.
- Permanently delete multiple documents from Trash.

Document viewing and editing experience
Improved document view mode
- Enhancements apply when a document is opened in view mode (before selecting Edit).
- Users can now:
- Expand all nested content blocks (parent + child) to view the document structure.
- Navigate into tables to view content
- Select table cells or content to view attributes
Improved document preview mode
- Preview generation is now optimized:
- A preview is generated only when a document has been modified.
- Existing previews are reused per user session when no changes are made.
- Preview is now available in the table edit mode (only when Editing mode is enabled).
- Users can switch between the main editor and table editor while keeping the preview open.
Publication improvements
Publication export modal
- Improved consistency between export flows initiated from different entry points.
- Saved layout information is now displayed in the export modal.
Export improvements
Asynchronous export queue for InDesign (Legacy UI only)
- Exports are now processed asynchronously, allowing Pergamon to handle larger files more reliably.
- Reduces errors when exporting multiple items simultaneously.
- Improves overall stability of the InDesign export process.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where the user who locked a document was not consistently displayed.

After the release is deployed, a blue Refresh button will appear at the bottom of the login page (or the current page). To fetch the new update, click Refresh.

- Windows: Shift + CTRL + R
