Publication
A Publication in Pergamon is a combined output of multiple Documents, such as front pages, main content, and back pages. Publications can be exported to various formats, including PDF, InDesign, and XML, for further use or distribution.
Documents
Documents are individual content pieces (e.g., text files, images, or sections) that can be combined into a Publication. Documents serve as the building blocks for creating Booklets, Leaflets, or other types of Publications.
Source Document
A Source Document is the original document from which other Target Language Documents are created. It serves as the reference or master version for translations, adaptations, or localized versions. For example, a Source Document in English (EN) might be used to create Target Language Documents in German (DE), French (FR), or Spanish (ES). Source Documents ensure consistency and accuracy across multilingual or multi-regional content.
Target Language Document
A Target Language Document is a translated or localized version of a Source Document. It is created to adapt content for specific languages, regions, or audiences. Target Language Documents are often combined into multilingual Publications.
Publications Hub
The Publications Hub is the central interface in Pergamon where you can create, manage, and export Publications. It provides tools for organizing, editing, and customizing Publications.
Content Retrieval Workflow
The Content Retrieval Workflow is a process in Pergamon that allows you to assemble Documents automatically using predefined rules or questionnaires. This workflow is often used to create Publications from dynamically generated content.
Export Formats
Export Formats refer to the file types you can export a Publication to, such as PDF, InDesign, or XML. Each format is suited for different use cases, such as printing, further editing, or data exchange.
