You can add and edit content inside a table using Table Edit Mode, which opens the table in a focused view for easier editing.
Add content in a table
Click anywhere inside the table.
The table opens in Table Edit Mode, displaying the table in a dedicated editing view.Enter your content in any cell.
Type directly into the selected cell.
Use the Tab key to move to the next cell.
Use Shift + Tab to move to the previous cell.
Press the
Esckey to save your changes and return to the main Editor.
The table closes and you return to the standard document editor view.
Note: You can use all standard formatting inside cells, including paragraph styles, character formatting, and inserting assets. All changes are saved automatically when you exit Table Edit Mode with Esc.
