In Pergamon, you can easily reorder rows, columns, and cells to customize how your data is presented within tables. This guide will walk you through the steps to adjust table layouts quickly.
Enter table edit mode
- Open your document and locate the table you wish to modify.
- Select the table to enter the table edit mode.
- Click Rearrange mode at the top left of the table or Rearrange from the right toolbar.
Reordering rows
- On the right, select Rows for reordering.
- In the grid that appears at the start of the row, drag and drop the rows to the desired position.
Reordering columns
- Select Columns at the top right.
- In the grid that appears, drag and drop to reorder the columns as needed.
Reordering cells
Select Cells from the top right. In Cells mode, you swap individual cells between any two positions in the table, regardless of row or column.
To reorder cells:
- In the Rearrange controls, select Cells.
- Click the cell you want to move. The cell is highlighted with a border.
- Move your pointer over the table. Each cell highlights as you hover over it.
- Click the cell you want to swap it with. The two cells exchange their contents.
To exit Rearrange mode, select Quit Rearrange mode.
Saving changes
- Once you've reordered your rows or columns, click Save.
- Exit the Rearrange mode by clicking Quit Rearrange mode or the Esc key.
