Overview
The Document Spellchecker identifies and flags potential spelling, grammar, and style issues while you edit in the Pergamon Document Editor. You can activate or deactivate it globally - across all documents from your user settings, manage suggestions within each content block, and maintain your personal dictionary of accepted terms.
Prerequisites
Full access to a specific document.
Activate the Spellchecker globally
Global activation or deactivation of the Document Spellchecker refers to turning the feature on or off for all documents you edit in the Pergamon Document Editor. When activated globally, the Spellchecker automatically runs in every document, checking text for spelling and grammar issues by default. When deactivated globally, the Spellchecker is completely turned off - no documents will display underlines, indicators, or suggestions until the feature is reactivated.
To activate or deactivate the Spellchecker globally:
Click your User icon in the top-right corner of the Pergamon interface.
Select User Settings.
In the Preferences section, locate Spellchecker.
-
Turn the Spellchecker toggle on to activate the feature for all documents.
Turn the toggle off to deactivate it globally.
Select Save Changes at the top-right to confirm.
The Document Spellchecker runs automatically whenever you edit a document after activation.
