What is Justification?
Justification determines how text aligns horizontally within a paragraph. This option is used to enhance readability and create a clean, polished appearance in your content. The alignment can affect the overall layout and is particularly important for meeting specific formatting or design requirements.
Why use Justification?
- To control text alignment for better visual consistency.
- To fit text neatly within columns or blocks.
- To comply with formatting standards, such as justified text in formal documents.
Available Justification settings in editor
- Base: Keeps the paragraph style's default alignment.
- Left: Aligns text to the left margin (ragged right edge).
- Right: Aligns text to the right margin (ragged left edge).
- Center: Centers text horizontally.
- Justify: Aligns text evenly on both the left and right margins, creating a clean block appearance.
Set Justification
Note: To apply advanced paragraph formatting on global content,
turn on the toggle Advanced formatting for global content in
Content attributes.
To set justification:
- Select the content block you want to format in the Editor.
- Click on the layout switcher to display the Content Attributes Panel.
- Under the Paragraph Formatting section, locate the Justification dropdown.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Base: Keeps the system’s default alignment.
- Left, Right, Center, or Justify: Select the desired alignment option.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
