What are Indents?
Indentation adjusts the horizontal position of a paragraph relative to the left and right margins. Left Indent moves the paragraph inward from the left margin, while Right Indent adjusts the paragraph inward from the right margin.
Why Use Indentation?
- To structure content hierarchically.
- To distinguish specific paragraphs, such as quotes or subpoints.
- To create visually balanced layouts.
Units of Measurement
-
Base: Default indentation.
-
Custom Values: Specify the relative percentage value to be applied for left or right indent. The value is calculated based on the page or column width where text is inserted. For example, if the page width is 100 mm and the value is set to 10%, the left or right indent value is set to 10 mm.
Note: To apply advanced paragraph formatting on global content,
turn on the toggle Advanced formatting for global content in
Content attributes.
