What is Keep with Previous?
The Keep with Previous option in paragraph formatting ensures that the current paragraph remains on the same page as the paragraph directly above it. This feature prevents page breaks between related content, maintaining logical flow and improving the readability of your document.
Why Use Keep with Previous?
- Avoid Page Breaks: Ensures headings or dependent paragraphs (e.g., list items) stay together with the preceding content.
- Improve Readability: Keeps related sections visually connected.
- Formatting Consistency: Ensures structural integrity in compliance documents or long-form content.
Measurement Values
- Base: Uses the system's default setting for whether to keep the paragraph with the previous one.
