What is Ordered List Mode?
The Ordered List Mode setting allows you to control how numbered or ordered lists are formatted within a paragraph. This option ensures consistent numbering and logical flow in lists, making documents easier to read and comprehend. It is especially useful when continuing or resetting numbering across sections.
Why use Ordered List Mode?
- Maintain List Continuity: Ensures numbers in ordered lists continue seamlessly from the previous list.
- Reset Numbering: Allows users to start numbering afresh within a new section or list block.
- Control Starting Point: Provides the flexibility to define a custom starting number for a list.
Selection Modes
- Base: Maintains the system’s default behavior for ordered lists.
- Continue from Previous: Continues the numbering from the preceding ordered list in the document.
- Start At: Allows users to define the starting number for the ordered list (e.g., start numbering at 5).
Note: To apply advanced paragraph formatting on global content, turn on the toggle Advanced formatting for global content in Content attributes.
