What is Keep with Next?
The Keep with Next option ensures that the current paragraph stays together with the following paragraph on the same page. This is particularly useful for avoiding page breaks between headings and the text or content that immediately follows them, ensuring a logical and visually consistent flow.
Why use Keep with Next?
- Avoid Isolated Headings: Ensures headings or introductory text do not appear at the bottom of a page without the associated content.
- Preserve Document Structure: Maintains visual and contextual continuity between related paragraphs or sections.
- Control Page Breaks: Helps manage how content flows across pages, especially in long documents.
Measurement values
- Base: Uses the system's default behavior for whether to keep the paragraph with the next one.
- Custom Value: Define how many subsequent paragraphs should stay together on the same page. For example:
- 0: No paragraphs are kept together.
- 1: Keeps the current paragraph with the next one.
- 2: Keeps the current paragraph with the next two paragraphs, and so on.
